The Facts You Need

Our in-house experts also perform a full range of studies to help you get the most out of existing facilities, including lightning analysis to improve reliability, conductor selection studies, transmission upgrade and feasibility studies, asset evaluation and system operational-policy studies.

The Internet has made available technologies and resources that enable us to go farther than before for preliminary transmission line design. Geo-referenced USGS maps and Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) are available at Web sites such as http://data.geocomm.com/ and http://earth.google.com/. This information can be imported into modeling programs like PLS-CADD, where an alignment can be created for cost estimates and route selection. View an example of what can be accomplished with this technology.
